Brent Mecham, J.D.
Founding Attorney
Brent Mecham founded Mecham Legal on a simple principle: clients deserve legal representation that is personal, substantive, and grounded in courtroom-tested expertise.
Before launching Mecham Legal, Brent worked at a larger Colorado law practice where he developed extensive experience in family law, estate planning, and probate litigation. That combination gives his clients a rare advantage: legal counsel informed by both the planning side of the law and the realities of how disputes unfold in court.
Brent’s approach with clients is straightforward and honest. He believes people deserve a clear understanding of where they stand, what outcomes are realistic under Colorado law, and which goals are worth pursuing.
Before entering the legal profession, Brent was the top-performing sales representative at Liberty Mutual nationwide for three consecutive years. That experience sharpened his ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, connect with people quickly, and advocate persuasively.
When families are navigating conflict, Brent brings a calm and strategic perspective. When litigation becomes necessary, he brings the preparation and courtroom experience to pursue the case effectively.
Trish Wilkerson
Practice Manager & Paralegal
Trish Wilkerson is the operational backbone of Mecham Legal. As Practice Manager and Paralegal, she ensures every client’s experience with the firm is organized, responsive, and personal from the first phone call through case resolution.
With more than three decades of experience in the legal field, Trish has worked extensively in family law and criminal defense and brings deep operational knowledge to the firm’s daily work.
Earlier in her career, she served as a youth court judge and was actively involved in advocacy efforts supporting victims of domestic violence. Those experiences gave her a firsthand understanding of how legal proceedings affect families and children—perspective that continues to shape her approach to client care.
At Mecham Legal, Trish plays a central role in keeping cases moving forward smoothly, managing client communication, and ensuring that every matter receives the attention it deserves. For many clients, she is the first voice they hear when they reach out to the firm and a consistent point of contact throughout their case.
Her goal is simple: make a complex legal process feel organized, understandable, and manageable.
